Castle Hall is an entrepreneurial, dynamic and fast moving company that is looking to add a Beta Tester to our technical team. This newly created role responds to increasing demand for Castle Hall’s services, and the firm’s commitment to continued growth. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity for personal and professional growth. The commitment level required for this role can be flexible, and as such may be filled as a full time or part time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and execute manual test cases for functional, integration and regression testing for multiple projects
• Document and build out library of test cases for future automation
• Ensure system under test meets business requirements
• Debug and troubleshoot defects to help our developers fix issues efficiently
• Escalate critical issues, blockers, and risks in a timely manner to minimize the impact on project timelines
• Perform manual testing of the entire application during pre and post builds
• Use MySQL to run queries to look at issues that require a deeper digging in the database
• Ensure product functionality across multiple browsers
• Document and manage bugs and issues using JIRA
• Identify testing risks within projects and provide testing solutions/processes to mitigate the risks

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• College diploma or university degree, either completed or underway, in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience to this position preferred
• Thorough knowledge of software testing methods and procedures
• Familiar with software development life-cycles and processes
• Good understanding of SQL and database design principles
• Experience with bug tracking system like JIRA
• Basic knowledge of technologies like REACT, Angular.js, Django, REST, Jenkins
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
