HR Manager

Castle Hall is an entrepreneurial, dynamic and fast moving company that is looking to add a HR Manager to our team. Reporting to the Head of Client Support and the Managing Partner, this new role is in response to the growth of our Canadian team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all Canadian staff from our Montreal office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Canadian human resources function and contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s culture and employee well-being in a hybrid, post pandemic environment.
  • Lead and direct routine human resource functions / activities (in conjunction with external providers) including health coverage, vacation, payroll, and assist in the implementation of a group pension plan.
  • Identify and coordinate recruitment needs of our Montreal office and manage the recruitment process. Initiate recruitment initiatives such as participation in university job fairs and other pro-active recruitment avenues.
  • Supervise new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Maintain and monitor Castle Hall’s human resource policies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Meet with team members intra year and at year end to discuss performance goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Coordinate internal employee wellness and social events.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma
  • Fluent in both French and English
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a Human Resources role is required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with professional integrity and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Independent and highly organized in order to keep track of all HR initiatives and deadlines (such as performance reviews / key KPI documentation deadlines)
  • High attention to detail
  • Pro-active in identifying value add initiatives.
  • Computer proficiency with full MS Office Suite
  • Polished, energetic, and professional demeanor
