Media Research Analyst 

- Halifax - 


          • Use Dow Jones Factiva, industry newsletters and other sources to identify potential media entries for each investment manager
          • Critically and carefully curate financial news feeds to remove false positives and duplicates
          • Use our partner’s market-leading automated research process to extract and present key publicly available information on companies and individuals to produce accurate and comprehensive profiles
          • Coordinate background investigations on investment management companies and key investment manager executives, highlighting key data points
          • Deliver daily or weekly email summaries to our clients
          • Compiling, managing, and verifying the accuracy of data
          • Tracking progress on workload and monitoring internal workflow
          • Communicating with team members in the review process
          • Researching investment industry subjects and writing blog entries, white papers, and other Castle Hall collateral
          • Contributing to the continuous improvement of OpsDiligence platform
          • Other ad-hoc special projects and administrative duties as required


          • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Journalism, Communications, or related field
          • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
          • Familiarity, confidence and accuracy when using a variety of IT tools (e.g. input of information into databases, maintaining files and folders on company servers)
          • Outstanding written, verbal and researching skills
          • Able to quickly grasp new tasks working with highly technical information
          • Knowledge of financial industry an asset
          • Experience in a similar role an asset
