AIMA will address the importance of having baseline cybersecurity policies and procedures as well as cybersecurity due diligence in a panel discussion
 
Castle Hall’s Max Kimpton – ODD Senior Manager will contribute to the discussion by providing insight about the importance of having an established cybersecurity framework which includes an appropriate and efficient change management policies as well as security awareness and training procedures. His comments will echo the CYBER SECURITY DILIGENCE white paper, “Evaluating an Asset Manager’s Cybersecurity Environment – A guide for the operational due diligence practitioner.”

Against this background, investors face the need to conduct both initial and then ongoing cyber diligence with respect to the third party firms they hire to provide asset management services. The white paper provides operational due diligence practitioners with practical guidance on how to approach the review of an asset manager’s cybersecurity preparedness within the context of a comprehensive operational due diligence review. In particular, the paper highlights ten categories of cybersecurity questions to ask asset managers and helps investors evaluate manager responses.
